Frontier Ailant Hybrid Jacket combines the functionality of a jacket and an insulated mid-layer in a single piece of clothing. Designed as a hybrid layer, it works well as a standalone outer layer during the transitional seasons or as an insulating mid-layer under a jacket in colder weather. Thanks to its balanced construction, Ailant remains lightweight, does not add bulk, and stays comfortable for everyday wear, travel, and hiking.
The jacket is made from lightweight, durable polyester that dries quickly, retains warmth, and provides protection from wind and cool air. Stretch knit inserts made from a polyester and elastane blend are integrated along the sides and sleeves, improving elasticity, ventilation, and freedom of movement. This combination allows the jacket to adapt comfortably to the body and remain comfortable during active use.
Thermal insulation in key areas—including the chest, back, elbows, and neck—is provided by 3M™ Thinsulate™ insulation (80 g/m²). The insulation performs effectively in temperatures from +5 to 0 °C and maintains warmth even in damp weather. The quilted construction helps keep the insulation evenly distributed and supports consistent thermal performance.
Everyday comfort is enhanced by practical details such as a chin guard to prevent pinching, a high collar for neck protection, and elastic binding at the cuffs and hem to improve fit and reduce wind penetration. Reliable hardware ensures durability and consistent performance during regular use.
The jacket features a functional storage layout with two zippered outer pockets for hands or small items and two spacious internal pockets for valuables or essentials.
